Lack of special characters is an odd choice, does mean a less competitive environment with the lack of Eldrad, Vulkan, Mephisto, Doom of Mal and the new Dark Eldar characters...but i suppose the choice had to be made.

Now i have to stop painting Gors/chariots and get some jetbikes finished!!

Any awards for best painted army/best army or we jus going straight up victories? I know, I know, it doesnt say anything about it in the tourney rules and therefore it may be a stupid question but hey, i had to ask

Actually quite normal for non GW tournaments.

I've bought my ticket so it looks like I'll finally be making a visit to Arkham. In fact, I'll try to get a recce run up there before the event.

It looks like it's time to put some pigment on plastic, and roll out a new army for AoA. I'll probably be using a 'counts-as' army, will that be okay? The models will all be WYSIWYG as far as equipment is concerned, but I'll be using chaos models to represent another codex (either SW, BA or SM). eg if I go with puppy power, I'd be using a sorcerer as a rune priest, csm as grey hunters, converted chaos knights as thunderwolf cavalry, and converted khorne berserkers as long fangs.

A guy wearing power armour and carrying a bolt gun is a guy wearing power armour and carrying a bolt gun. Wether he has spikes or not. So as long as there is no confusion there is no problems.

Yep, putting my name down definitely for this and will get my ticket when I'm up at Arkham next - should be some day this in-coming week.

Just checked and it's showing as 'pending' so someone must have it in their paypal basket ready to pay. I'll keep an eye to see if it's cancelled and goes back on sale. I'll also chat to Ivor and Karl to see if numbers could possibly be extended to 22 but i would doubt it.

Got the ticket thanks! My fault I think paypal went dodgy on me when i tried to pay and i presumed someone had got it. Gives me motivation to get painting again!
